We're thrilled to invite you to join the Google Chrome Built-in AI Challenge 2025. In this challenge, you'll build and submit new web applications or Chrome Extensions, using one or more built-in AI APIs and powerful models, including Gemini Nano, for a chance to win.
If you joined us last year, you may recognize some of the available APIs. This year, we've added even more:
- NEW Prompt API with multimodal support for image and audio input.
- NEW Proofreader API
- Summarizer API
- Translator API
- Language Detector
- Writer API
- Rewriter API
If you're hoping to extend your extension or web application's AI features to even more users, including those on mobile devices, you can implement a hybrid AI solution with either Firebase AI Logic and the Gemini Developer API.
We'll judge your submissions on a set of criteria, including functionality, purpose, content, user experience, and technical execution.
Winners are eligible for one of 16 prizes, ranging in value from $200 USD to $14,000 USD. Collectively, the prize values total to $70,000 USD. Winners also have a chance to connect with members of the Chrome AI team. You may even see your submission featured on one of our official Google channels.
